Vector Photonics will make three, technology presentations during ECOC 2023 in Glasgow.

Vector Photonics’ staff will make three, separate, technology presentations during ECOC 2023 in Glasgow, this year. ECOC is the premier, European exhibition and conference for the fibre optic communications industry and Vector Photonics is exhibiting on stand 119, Hall 4. The company is part of a stand share organised by Technology Scotland for members of the Scottish photonics cluster, which includes Alter Technology TUV Nord UK, Chromacity, Fraunhofer UK Research, Helia Photonics and pureLiFi.

On Monday 2nd October, Vector Photonics’ CTO, Dr. Richard Taylor, will present the ‘Potential of Photonic Crystal Surface Emitting Lasers (PCSELS) for Optical Wireless Communications (OWC)’, at the ECOC special event ‘OWC in Scotland: From Research to Adoption’. He has been invited to present by Harold Hass of pureLiFi. On Tuesday 3rd October, Anna O’Dowd, Design Engineer, will present ‘PCSELs: innovation through simulation’, at the International Symposium for Optical Interconnects in Data Centres. On Wednesday 4th October, Euan Livingston, Sales and Marketing Director, will present ‘Lasers for Quantum Applications’, as a guest of the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC), in their TechWatch session introducing new technologies.

Vector Photonics will also be hosting an open day at the company’s headquarters in Glasgow, on the Monday, entitled ‘Vector Presents – Surface Coupling Lasers’, with an invited guest list coming to see the facility and meet the engineers.
