Vector Photonics is very pleased to announce on #international womens day 2023 (IWD) that Sharon Doonin, Business Support Manager, has been shortlisted by the ‘Scottish PA Awards’ for the ‘Best Event Organised by a PA’.

Sharon’s nomination was for ‘V in the Park’, an event styled as an outdoor summer celebration for the Vector Photonics team in July 2022.

Vector Photonics is very keen to celebrate the talented and outstanding women in its team. #IWD seeks a gender equal world, free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination which is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. This focus aligns with Sharon’s work on the steering board of ‘Opening up Photonics’ (OUP), removing the barriers faced by minority groups in Scotland’s photonics sector, with the purpose ofincreasing accessibility and championing diversity.

This year #IWD is highlighting the #EmbraceEquity campaign, moving beyond equality to equity in a fair and impartial society.
